Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Located Runaway
Port of Entry #1
Deputies were dispatched to the International Port of Entry #1 in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with CBP agents who stated they had a female subject detained. Contact was made with the known female juvenile and conducted a TCIC/NCIC system check. The known female juvenile came back as a runaway out of Maverick County Sheriff’s Office. Juvenile was released to her grandmother.

Criminal Mischief
2100 Block of Highway 277 North
Deputies were dispatched to Quemado TX. in reference to a Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival contact was made with reporting person who said that a known male subject had slashed two tires from his truck. case was turned over to Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.

Deceased Person
Highway 277 North
Deputies were dispatched to said location in reference to a deceased person report. Upon arrival, contact was made with Border Patrol Agents who stated that a deceased body was located inside a ranch. After further investigation, Justice of the Peace #4 Tere Hernandez arrived at scene and pronounced time of death at 11:53 AM. Memorial funeral chapel took possession of the body.

Assault Family Violence
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Complainant stated that she was involved in a physical altercation with her husband.  A report was issued in reference to matter.

Identity Theft
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Complainant stated that unknown subject(s) had gain access to his personal information to defraud him. A report was issued in reference to this matter.

Motor Vehicle Accident
FM 481
Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to FM 481 in reference to a motor vehicle accident report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with male driver who stated he was traveling northbound on FM 481 when a tire popped causing driver to lose control of his vehicle. Male driver stated he felt the steering wheel shaking and caused him to veer to the left causing him to roll over. Male driver and female passenger refused medical attention at the time of report. Report was taken.

Criminal Mischief
2100 Block of Nicolas Street
Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to 2149 Calle Nicolas in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with complainant who stated unknown subject(s) had thrown eggs into his property causing damages to his property and vehicles. Complainant wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Lost License Plate
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to the lobby at Maverick County Sheriff’s Department in reference to lost license plate report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with reporting person who stated three days ago she noticed the license plate from her utility trailer missing. Reporting person stated her utility trailer was parked inside her property and does not known if unknown subject(s) gain entrance to her property to remove the license plate. Reporting person wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Damage to Property
2900 Block of Cedar Drive
Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to the 2900 block of Cedar Dr. in reference to damage to property report. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with reporting person who stated his neighbor white Ford F150 had struck her front gate causing damages to the gate. Complainant stated her neighbor left the scene and did not made contact with her. Complainant stated she noticed after checking her security cameras. Complainant wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Theft
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Complainant stated that she left her belongings at a known male subject’s residence. Complainant then stated that the known male subject later admitted to her that he had pawned her belongings without her consent. Complainant wished to file a report regarding the matter. Report was taken.

Theft
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Complainant was an inmate at the Tom Bowles Detention Center who stated that another inmate took money from his property without his effective consent. Complainant wished to file a report. Report 
was taken.

Recovered Stolen Property
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Reporting person advised that an item not belonging to him was located in his property. Criminal Investigations Division was contacted in which later made contact with reporting person. Item found was then revealed to belong to a victim of a recent burglary of habitation. CID then retrieved the item. Report was taken.

Motor Vehicle Accident w/Fixed Object
Highway 57/State Loop 480
Female driver stated that she was traveling southbound on Highway 57 on her silver in color 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. Female driver further stated that she tried to avoid a collision with a tractor trailer that was traveling at very low speed causing her to swerve to the right. Female driver then stated that she panicked causing her to exit the highway striking a sign. Female driver refused medical attention at the time of report. Damages were observed on the sign and on the vehicle. Report was taken.

Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Wanted Person
Memo Robinson Road
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on Memo Robinson. Upon making contact with male operator identified as Indalecio Ramirez Verastigue (24), Deputy conducted an NCIC/TCIC check on said male. NCIC/TCIC check return revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Verastigue was then placed under arrest for the active warrant and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. Verastigue was also issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver license, and disregarding a red light. Vehicle was later impounded by wrecker service. A report was filed.

Hit and Run
Highway 277 North
Deputy was dispatched to Stripes Store located on Hwy 277 North in reference to a hit and run report. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant who stated that unknown subject struck her vehicle, 2015 Nissan Altima gray in color with unknown vehicle. Complainant stated that she was traveling south bound on Hwy 277 North during dark hours when she felt the impact on her vehicle but was unable to see the suspect vehicle. Vehicle had damages on the left side. Complainant wished to file a report in reference to the matter. Complainant refused medical attention. A report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident w/Fixed Object
Tierra Soberana
Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident with a fixed object on Tierra Soberana. Upon arrival, Deputy observed a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu blue in color crashed with a light pole. Deputy also observed that the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of arrival. Deputies searched the area for the operator to no avail. Vehicle was later impounded by wrecker service. A report was filed.

Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Assault Family Violence
Maverick County Sheriff’s Office
Deputy was dispatched to the MCSO lobby in reference to a complainant. Upon arrival, Deputy spoke to the complainant who stated that she was physically assaulted by male subject identified as Gustavo Adolfo Terrazas. Complainant informed that G. Terrazas then began strangling her causing to asphyxiate and faint.

Wanted Person
Port of Entry #2
On June 9, 2019 at approximately 3:20 P.M., Deputy was dispatched to Port of Entry in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, contact was made with CBP Officer who advised they had a male subject identified as Hipolito Covarrubias Jr. (39 YOA) detained due to having an outstanding warrant. Undersign then conducted a NCIC/TCIC on Covarrubias in which revealed he had an active warrant out of Schleicher County Sheriff's Office as per OCA:(5304) for Failure to appear. Covarrubias was then placed under arrest and transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Terroristic Threat
42 County Road 515
On this Sunday 06-09-19 at approximately 3:20 p.m., Deputy  was dispatched to 42 County Road 515 in reference to a terroristic threat report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with complainant who stated a known male subject had threaten to kill him and his family if he broke his trust. Complainant stated he believes he has broken his trust and wishes to file a report in reference to this incident.

Criminal Mischeif
1700 block of Eidson Road
Deputies was dispatched to said location in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival, contact was made with complainant who stated on today’s date, he noticed his vehicle's front driver's side tire slashed. Complainant wishes to file a report in reference to this matter. A report was filed.

Assault Family Violence
900 block of Ranchitos Road
Complainant stated that she was involved a physical altercation with her common law husband. A report was filed.

Theft
2600 block Cenizo
Deputies was dispatched to said location in reference to a Theft report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with complainant who stated that unknown subject (s) had taken her ladder without her effective consent. Complainant wishes to file a report in reference to this incident. A file was reported.

Theft<$100.00/Possession of Controlled Substance
3518 Del Rio Blvd.
Deputies responded to Casino Grocery #4 in regards to a theft in progress. Contact was made with the store manager who advised a male subject had walked out of the store with several unpaid items. Contact was made with the subject identified as Juan Manuel Hernandez,31 years of age who was in possession of several stolen items. Consent to search the vehicle was given by Hernandez, who was driving a 2009 Green Jeep Liberty was conducted in which Deputies located a baggie containing methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke the substance. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Motor Vehicle Accident
Memo Robinson/Buena Vista Road
Deputies were dispatched to Memo Robinson in regards to a Motor Vehicle Accident. Contact was then made with Driver of Unit # 2, Luis Pilar Gonzalez (35) being a white Dodge Ram Van and with Unit # 1 driven by Stephanie Hernandez (20), a white Ford Mustang. Preliminary Investigation revealed that Unit # 2 was traveling southbound on Memo Robinson, when Unit # 1 struck Unit # 2 on the rear center of the vehicle. While attempting to make contact with driver of Unit #1, Deputies noticed female driver appeared to be unconscious but breathing. Deputies then broke the driver window to make contact with driver and check for her status. EMS was summoned to location, where both drivers were transported to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. Unit # 1 was towed away by Martinez Wrecker Service.

Criminal Mischief
1900 block Rosita Valley
Deputies were dispatched to said Rosita Valley Road, contact was then made with reporting person who stated unknown subject(s) had broken her front window of her residence with an unknown object. A report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident (fixed object)
Tierra Soberana/FM 1021
Deputies were dispatched to said location, Contact was made with driver of a 2002 Tan Chevrolet Silverado who stated that he had mechanical issues with his vehicle, in which his Silverado went on reversed and striking a handicap pole from the parking stall damaging the sign and pole. Driver refused medical attention at the time of report.

Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Criminal Trespass
3644 Caribou Trail
Deputies responded to the 3600 block of Caribou Trail in reference to an unwanted male subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with the alleged male subject who admitted to being inside the complainant’s property. Contact was then made with complainant who stated that the male subject is not welcome in her property and wished for him to no longer to return. Male subject was advised not to return and was issued a criminal trespass warning. A report was filed.  

Criminal Mischief
446 Ruela Drive
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ruela Drive in reference to an unwanted male subject. Upon arrival, deputies observed that the male subject was no longer by location. Complainant then advised that the known male subject intentionally damaged her vehicle tires. Complainant wished to file in reference to the matter. A report was filed.

Burglary of Vehicle
214 Sun Valley Trail
Deputies was dispatched to the 200 block of Sun Valley Trail in reference to a burglary of vehicle report.  Contact was made with female complainant who stated that a known male subject took some of her property from inside her vehicle without her effective consent. Complainant wished to file a report in regards to the matter. A report was filed.
