Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Motor Vehicle Accident
Memo Robinson/Buena Vista Road
Deputies were dispatched to Memo Robinson in regards to a Motor Vehicle Accident. Contact was then made with Driver of Unit # 2, Luis Pilar Gonzalez (35) being a white Dodge Ram Van and with Unit # 1 driven by Stephanie Hernandez (20), a white Ford Mustang. Preliminary Investigation revealed that Unit # 2 was traveling southbound on Memo Robinson, when Unit # 1 struck Unit # 2 on the rear center of the vehicle. While attempting to make contact with driver of Unit #1, Deputies noticed female driver appeared to be unconscious but breathing. Deputies then broke the driver window to make contact with driver and check for her status. EMS was summoned to location, where both drivers were transported to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. Unit # 1 was towed away by Martinez Wrecker Service.

Criminal Mischief
1900 block Rosita Valley
Deputies were dispatched to said Rosita Valley Road, contact was then made with reporting person who stated unknown subject(s) had broken her front window of her residence with an unknown object. A report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident (fixed object)
Tierra Soberana/FM 1021
Deputies were dispatched to said location, Contact was made with driver of a 2002 Tan Chevrolet Silverado who stated that he had mechanical issues with his vehicle, in which his Silverado went on reversed and striking a handicap pole from the parking stall damaging the sign and pole. Driver refused medical attention at the time of report.

Missing Person Located
1685 Eidson Road
Deputies made contact with a reporting person who stated his 50-year-old mother had returned home after she had reported her missing for several days. 

Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon
526 Columbine Curve
Deputies made contact with a complainant who stated a known male subject arrived at his residence in an aggressive manner and then displayed a knife in which the complainant then pushed to known male subject as then escalated to a scuffle. The complainant was then able to get a metal pole and struck the known male subject causing the suspect to leave location. A report was filed.

Hit and Run
317 Zaragoza Street
Deputies made contact with a complainant who stated an unknown vehicle driven by a known male subject struck her  2019 Brown/Black Chevrolet Cruze that was parked, unoccupied. The suspect then left the location of the incident. A report was filed.

Public Intoxication
Brown Street
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Black Ford F-150 for a minor traffic violation. Contact was then made with the driver identified as Amado Ibarra-Fregoso who was highly intoxicated. Ibarra-Fregoso was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Aggravated Assault Family Violence
3003 Sauz Street
Deputies made contact with a complainant who stated she had been physically assaulted by a known male subject who began pulling her hair and then began choking her impeding her to breath. Complainant stated the male subject then left location. A report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident/DWI
US HWY 277 North/Cunningham Lane
Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident (rollover) on U.S. Hwy 277 North near Cunningham Lane. Deputies made contact with the driver of a 2015 White Dodge Ram identified as Tamera Lee Oneal (45) who was trapped inside the vehicle. During contact, Deputies observed a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the interior of the vehicle and an opened alcohol can. EMS and Fire Department were summoned to location where the driver was then extracted from the vehicle using the jaws of life and was then transported to the local emergency room. Preliminary investigations revealed the driver was traveling Northbound on U.S. Hwy 277 North swerving left and right and then got off the road striking a cement pillar causing the vehicle to rollover and land on its side. The driver is pending charges of suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Motor Vehicle Accident
US HWY 277 North/Church Street
Deputies patrolling came upon a single motor vehicle accident on Church St. and U.S. Hwy 277 North. Preliminary investigations revealed a 2015 Silver Chevrolet Malibu driven by Erik Alonso Tarin-Sesatty, 18 years of age lost control of the vehicle while traveling Northbound on U.S. Hwy 277 North. The vehicle veered left onto a private open property striking a sign and cement pillar. EMS was summoned to location where both occupants refused medical attention.

Assault Family Violence
La Paloma
Deputy was dispatched to said location, upon arrival contact was made with complainant who stated she had a verbal argument with her husband who he began aggressive towards her, in which he began to assault her by pushing her away and in the process complainant was struck on the neck area. Complainant refused medical attention at the time of report. Report was taken

Damage to Property
277 North (OLOR Church)
Deputies were dispatched to said location, contact was made with reporting person who stated unknown date and time she noticed two medal square tubes on the property in which she noticed that the property wall of the church had been damage by the metal poles. A report was filed.

Hit and Run
Maverick County Lake
Deputy was dispatched to said location, contact was made with reporting person who stated that unknown time he noticed his 2014 Toyota gray Camry had been struck while being stationary and unoccupied by an unknown vehicle who had fled the scene. A report was filed.  

Damage to Property
Tierra Soberana/FM1021
Deputy was dispatched to said location, contact was made with reporting person who stated that while he was stationary at the parking stalls an unknown vehicle who had the passenger door open was reversing striking his driver side door. A report was filed.

Public Intoxication
Rosita Valley Road
Deputies were dispatched to said location in regards to suspicious subject. Contact was then made with female subjects who was asleep near a canal area. Female subject was identified as Lucera Jimenez (25) who emitted a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage from her breath and person. Due to being in a public place and in danger to her and the motoring public, Jimenez was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Disorderly Conduct
203 Santa Fe Trail
On Sunday, 05/19/2019 at approximately 7:36 PM, Maverick County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 203 Santa Fe Trail because of a verbal argument between neighbors. Undersigned then made contact with reporting persons who stated several subjects (front neighbors & family) went near their residence and began arguing and yelling offensive/obscene comments towards their family. Reporting person further stated there had been an incident earlier in the day between the two families which is the fact that the family then began getting aggressive towards them. A family member (juvenile) from the reporting persons video recorded the incident that shows the family go near their fence and began disturbing the peace. Deputies also made contact with the second party who advised they had gone next to the reporting persons property to confront them about the incident that had occurred earlier. A female identified as Pamela Ramirez (21) and a male subject identified as Luis Huerta Jr. (22) were then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. Another female was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct.

Assault Family Violence
2330 Lemonwood Drive
On 05/19/2019 at approximately 21:21 hrs., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to Lemonwood Dr. in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with female complainant. The complainant stated she was involved in a verbal argument with her husband at her residence. The complainant further stated the verbal altercation continued inside a moving vehicle. The complainant further advised the verbal altercation escalated into a physical altercation after arriving at a residence located in Wildoak Dr. The complainant refused medical attention at the time of report. A report was filed in reference to this matter.

Recovered Narcotics
Eidson Road/Memo Robinson Drive
On 05/19/2019 at approximately 23:34 hrs., while patrolling Memo Robinson Road Deputy Sheriff conducted a traffic stop on a white 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe for license plate obstruction. Deputy Sheirff then made contact with male driver of the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the driver gave consent to search the vehicle he was driving. While searching the center console area a bag containing 0.085 Grams of Codeine pills were found. The driver was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowels Detention Center for further processing. The white 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe was impounded by Martinez Wrecker Service. The driver was later released with pending investigation. A report was filed in reference to this matter.

Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon
1723 Calle Ginebra
Complainant stated a known male subject arrived at their residence and began an argument. Complainant further stated the known male subject took out a handgun and threatened to shoot them in which the subject then shot towards them but missed. The male subject then left the scene of the incident. Case is currently under investigation.

Wanted Person
1723 Ginebra
A Deputy made contact with a male subject identified as Daniel Mata (29). A background check revealed Mata had an active warrant out of Maverick County for Burglary of Vehicle. Mata was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Possession of Controlled Substance
Calle Nicolas
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Gray Dodge Ram for a traffic violation. Contact was then made with the driver identified as Ricardo Salome Lopez and passenger identified as Sergio Alberto Bosque. Consent to search was then provided in which Deputies located 6 plastic baggies containing methamphetamine and a smoking glass pipe. Neither subject claimed ownership in which both subjects were then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
 
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
182 Academy
A Deputy made contact with a complainant who stated unknown subject(s) entered her property and took her 2015 White Acura TLX without her consent as she apparently left the keys inside the vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen.

Motor Vehicle Accident
US HWY 277 North
Deputies were dispatched to a single motor vehicle accident (rollover) on U.S. Hwy 277 North near FM 131. Deputies then noticed the driver trapped in the vehicle unconscious. Preliminary investigations revealed a 2014 Silver Chrysler 200 driven by Hayden Robert Avalos-Carcasi, 19 years of age went off the road while traveling Northbound on U.S. Hwy 277 North. The vehicle veered left onto the grass area causing the vehicle to go air-born and rollover. The driver is pending charges of driving under the influence (alcohol). The vehicle had a 16 year old male passenger. Both subjects were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. Avalos-Carcasi was then flown to San Antonio Medical Center in critical condition. DPS took over investigation.

Theft
2709 Rosita Valley Road
A Deputy made contact with complainant stated unknown subject(s) entered his property and took his horse without his effective consent. A report was filed.
