Maverick County Sheriff Weekend Report


Criminal Mischeif
1700 block of Eidson Road
Deputies was dispatched to said location in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival, contact was made with complainant who stated on today’s date, he noticed his vehicle's front driver's side tire slashed. Complainant wishes to file a report in reference to this matter. A report was filed.

Assault Family Violence
900 block of Ranchitos Road
Complainant stated that she was involved a physical altercation with her common law husband. A report was filed.

Theft
2600 block Cenizo
Deputies was dispatched to said location in reference to a Theft report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with complainant who stated that unknown subject (s) had taken her ladder without her effective consent. Complainant wishes to file a report in reference to this incident. A file was reported.

Theft<$100.00/Possession of Controlled Substance
3518 Del Rio Blvd.
Deputies responded to Casino Grocery #4 in regards to a theft in progress. Contact was made with the store manager who advised a male subject had walked out of the store with several unpaid items. Contact was made with the subject identified as Juan Manuel Hernandez,31 years of age who was in possession of several stolen items. Consent to search the vehicle was given by Hernandez, who was driving a 2009 Green Jeep Liberty was conducted in which Deputies located a baggie containing methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke the substance. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. 

Runaway
990 Calle Progreso
Complainant stated his 16 year old son had left the residence without consent and would not return home. A report was filed.

Wanted Person
Border Patrol South Station
BP Agents detained a female subject identified as Issamary Herrera-Hernandez who revealed an active out of Lexington Sheriff’s Dept. for Trafficking Cocaine. Hernandez was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Terroristic Threat
1910 Del Rio Blvd.
Deputies made contact with a complainant who reported that a known male subject threatened to cause serious bodily injury. A report was filed.  

Wanted Person
Border Patrol South Station
BP Agents detained a male subject identified as Vernabe Valdez-Vergara who revealed an active out of Bosque County Sheriff’s Dept. for Driving While Intoxicated. Vergara was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident
Loop 480/FM 1020
Deputies responded to a minor motor vehicle accident by Loop 480 and FM 1021. Investigations revealed a 2007 Blue Toyota Prius driven by Juan Perez was rear-ended by a 2016 Ram Pickup driven by Andres Vasquez Jr. as they were at the stop sign on Loop 480 and FM 1021. Both drivers refused medical attention.

Wanted Person
Harold Street
A background check was conducted on a male subject identified as Joshua Rocha who revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County for FTA-Criminal Mischief. Rocha was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. 

Assault
1016 Mariza Street
Deputies made contact with a complainant that stated a known male subject assaulted him by striking him in the chest area. A report was filed.

Possession of Marijuana/Public Intoxication
Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino
Casino Police detained a male subject identified as Luis Javier Sanchez after he was found to be in possession of marijuana and highly intoxicated. Sanchez was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Located Runaway
Mikulinski Street
Complainant stated his 13 year old son had returned home after being reported as a runaway.

Burglary of Vehicle
50 Mari Drive
Deputies made contact with complainant that stated unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered his 2010 Tan Chevrolet Tahoe and took several speakers and amplifiers without his effective consent. A report was filed.

Theft
3518 Del Rio Blvd.
Deputies made contact with complainant that stated a known female subject sold a tractor lawn mower without his effective consent after he received ownership of the tractor. A report was filed.

Unauthorized use of Motor Vehicle
4639 FM 481
Deputies made contact with complainant that stated unknown male subjects took a 2016 White Ford F-250 from the ranch without his effective consent. A report was filed.     

Burglary of Habitation
383 Rosita Valley Road
Complainant stated unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered his residence taking an a/c window unit without consent. A report was filed.

Dog Bite
2859 Diaz Street
Complainant stated her 7 year old son was bitten by a dog causing a minor laceration. A report was filed.  

Public Intoxication
Mikulinski Street
Deputies made contact with a male subject walking identified as Gabriel Martinez who was highly intoxicated. Martinez was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
