Possession of a Controlled Substance-Agents at the international port of entry 2 made contact with deputies this morning after encountering a male subject found in possession of a controlled substance. A secondary inspection of a 1998 Ford E-350 van led to the discovery of approximately 9,840 grams of methamphetamine and the driver, fifty-six year old Gerardo Alonso Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A deputy responded to Cenizo Drive this afternoon after residents in the area reported seeing a suspicious unoccupied vehicle parked outside for several days.Upon A tan-colored 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was observed upon arrival and a check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the Eagle Pass Police Department. Contact was made with officers who took possession of the vehicle.
Possession of a Controlled Substance- A county unit responded to the international port of entry 2 this evening, where agents at the port advised they had detained a male subject in possession of narcotics. Upon arrival, agents reported the subject identified as Jose Crespo Gonzalez attempted to cross the port with approximately 1.02 kg of methamphetamine, 2.12 kg of cocaine, and 10.58 kg of heroin. Gonzalez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.
Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling US Highway 277 North this evening made contact with a male and female subject walking along the roadway. The pair, identified as thirty year old Denise Negrete and thirty-three year old Carlos Martinez, Jr., displayed signs of intoxication and admitted to having consumed alcohol. The two were then taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
