Maverick County Daily Reports-May 17, 2020

Wanted Person-A county unit responded to the international port of entry 2 early this morning after agents at the port detained a male subject whose background check revealed a possible open warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Maverick County issued for thirty-one year old Ramon Jimenez was confirmed and he was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-A traffic stop performed for a minor infraction on Lago Vista this morning led to the discovery of a male subject found concealing a clear plastic baggie containing a white clear substance with characteristics of methamphetamine. The male subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The substance would test positive for methamphetamine.

Wanted Person-Veronica Narie Salazar was placed under arrest at the international port of entry 2 this afternoon after a background check revealed an open warrant out of Zavala County on a possessions charge. The warrant was confirmed and Ms. Salazar was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Possession of Marijuana/Dangerous Drug-A deputy patrolling FM1021 this evening conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Pontiac G6 for a minor violation. Contact was made with Jose Alfredo Arredondo, who granted consent to search the vehicle. The search yielded the discovery of marijuana, as well as a juvenile subject found in possession of additional marijuana and Xanax pills. Both subjects were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.
