Maverick County Daily Reports-May 18, 2020

Theft of Property(Possession of a Stolen Firearm-Outbound operations at the international port of entry 2 this morning detained a male subject attempting to leave the United States into Mexico while in possession of two handguns. A check revealed one of the handguns was reported stolen out of Robinson, Texas and the subject, Pedro Oritz-Delgado was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Deadly Conduct/Tampering with Identification Numbers/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. Deputies were dispatched to two separate locations this afternoon after City of Eagle Pass Police officers had made contact to report an incident that had occurred in Maverick County's jurisdiction. Upon arrival, investigations revealed a male and female subject, identified as eighteen year old Michael Galvan, Jr. and nineteen year old Araceli Gonzalez-Valdez had displayed a weapon and discharged a firearm at two juveniles travelling in a separate vehicle. 
A search of the subject's vehicle yielded the discovery of a 9mm handgun with the serial number scratched off. Deputies then discovered a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle the juveniles were travelling in. 
Mr. Galvan and Ms. Gonzalez were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana. Bother vehicles were impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
