Assault/Family Violence-A complainant on the 500 block of Wagon Wheel Road reported he was involved in a physical confrontation with his common-law wife. After further investigation, the female subject agreed to leave the residence to avoid further confrontations with the complainant, who did not wish to file charges at the time of the report.
Possession of a Controlled Substance/Wanted Person-Deputies responding to an unwanted person at a location on the 1000 block of Progreso arrested a male subject who was found in possession of a controlled substance. Twenty-nine year old Joshua Mata, who initially complied with leaving the location, had a clear plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance in his possession. A check also revealed Mr. Mata had an active warrant out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
