Maverick County Daily Reports-October 23, 2019

Structural Fire-Units this morning responded to calls of a structural fire in Quemado, Texas. Contact was made with the residents and Border Patrol agents at the scene upon arrival, where an RV and mobile home behind the primary residence were engulfed in flames. The occupants of the home were taken to a safe location and Eagle Pass Fire crews were summoned to the scene to safely extinguish the fire.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 200 block of Old Pioneer Road reported unknown subject(s) had stolen a handgun kept in storage inside of an old vehicle parked in the rear of the residence. A formal report was filed and the weapon was input into the database as stolen.

Assault with a Motor Vehicle-A complainant made contact with a deputy this afternoon to report he had been involved in an argument with a neighbor over a pipe that supplies water to both properties. The complainant further stated  his neighbor became visibly upset and began to use a bulldozer to cover the pipe, striking his leg several times and causing lacerations. A report was filed.

Theft-Deputies met with the store manager of the Dollar General on FM 1021 this evening, who reported an unknown male subject left the store without paying for approximately $800.00 worth of underwear. A formal report was filed.

Deadly Conduct-Deputies responded to Balcones Blvd. this evening after several reporting persons advised a vehicle carrying unknown subject(s) fired multiple shots from a weapon. Reports were filed and deputies continued to patrol the area through the evening.

Possession of Marijuana/Driving while License Invalid-A traffic stop conducted on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler this evening revealed the driver of the vehicle was doing so with an invalid license. Twenty-seven year old Robert Olivo was taken into custody when he was also found in possession of marijuana and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
