Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-Thirty-eight year old Mateazies Jones was arrested in Quemado, Texas this morning after units responded to a pursuit in progress. Deputies joined Border Patrol units and Stonegarden units in pursuit of the white pickup in question, which abruptly stopped before its driver attempted to flee on foot. Mr. Jones and the occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.
Theft-a resident on the 800 block of Venessa Street reported unknown subject(s) had taken the tailgate and tail lights to his vehicle. A formal report was filed.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-A county unit responded to FM 1021 this afternoon after receiving reports of a disoriented male subject walking along the roadway. Contact was made with the subject, Ernesto Hernandez, who displayed signs of intoxication and confusion. A pat down was conducted and Mr. Hernandez was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
