Maverick County Daily Reports-September 28, 2019

Undocumented Citizens-Deputies patrolling Day Road in Quemado, Texas this morning made contact with four subjects who admitted entering the United States illegally. The subjects were turned over to the custody of the United States Border Patrol.

Public Intoxication-Deputies found eighteen year old Hector Musquiz asleep in the driver's seat of a vehicle this afternoon on J.M. Wheeler Road. During contact, Mr. Musquiz displayed signs of being under the influence of narcotics and/or alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the international port of entry 1 this morning after agents at the port had detained a female subject whose background check revealed an outstanding warrant. The warrant out of Arizona for the subject identified as Elizabeth Jessica Mae Burgess was confirmed and she was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Driving While Intoxicated-Deputies responded to Memo Robinson Road this evening after a vehicle travelling southbound veered off the roadway, striking a guardrail. Contact was made with the driver, Juan Sebastian Cortinas, who displayed signs of intoxication. A field sobriety exam was performed, where deputies determined Mr. Cortinas was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
