Driving While Intoxicated/Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to Del Rio Blvd. and Barrera Street shortly before 5 AM this morning in regards to a motor vehicle accident that had occurred in Quemado, Texas. Contact was made with the driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado who reported he had been travelling northbound on Highway 277 North when he struck a guardrail while attempting to avoid a deer on the roadway. Deputies observed the driver displayed signs of intoxication and emitted a strong alcoholic odor from his person. The driver agreed to give a breath specimen and to field sobriety exams, which deputies determined he performed poorly. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Disorderly Conduct-A county unit was dispatched to the 1500 block of FM2030 this evening after a complainant reported her eighteen year old was behaving unruly. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Raymond Garcia, who was found in an aggressive state and appeared to be under the influence of some unknown narcotic. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
