Maverick County Daily Reports-September 26, 2019

Wanted Person-Twenty year old Luis Solis was taken into custody at the international port of entry 2 shortly before 8 AM this morning after having been detained by agents at the port when a a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Jefferson County was confirmed and Mr. Solis was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz-A county unit responded to Cenizo Heights this evening after receiving calls of a disoriented male in the area. Contact was made with a male subject identified as Jesus Alberto Curi upon arrival, who appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic or alcohol. Mr. Curi complied with requests to leave the area and accepted a courtesy ride from deputies, however, a safety pat down yielded the discovery of a green leafy substance with marijuana characteristics concealed inside a dollar bill. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle/Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A deputy patrolling the Seco Mines sector of Maverick County conducted a traffic stop on a 2019 Honda CRV for a minor infraction. Contact was made with the driver, whereupon radio communications revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the San Antonio Police Department. Both the driver and passenger were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center. Further investigations revealed that three occupants seated in the rear of the vehicle were undocumented citizens who just crossed into the United States illegally. United States Border Patrol agents were summoned to the scene to take custody of the three subjects. The vehicle was inventoried and taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
