Maverick County Sheriff Daily Report


Wanted Person
Port of Entry #2
On Monday, July 29, 2019 at 0815 hrs, Deputy was dispatched to the Port of Entry #2 in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, Deputy spoke to CBP Agent who stated that upon primary inspection, male subject identified as Nestor Salazar-Morales (34 YOA) had an active warrant (Indecency with a Child by Contact OCA FMA19353) in the NCIC/TCIC system out of Williamson County Sheriff Department. Salazar-Morales was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.

Criminal Mischief
3000 Block of Del Rio Blvd.
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 8:41 a.m., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to 3010 Del Rio Blvd. in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with complainant who stated he believes a known male subject broke two windows and the front glass door of his business. Complainant stated he does not know the estimated value on the damages of the broken windows and glass door. Complainant wished to file in reference to this incident.

Eidson Road/Hacienditas Drive
Wanted Person
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Deputy Sheriff was patrolling on Eidson Rd. Deputy Sheriff observed a silver dodge ram pick-up traveling on Eidson Rd. and Las Hacienditas Rd. Deputy Sheriff activated the emergency lights of the patrol unit to conduct a traffic stop for a traffic violation on said vehicle. Deputy made contact with male driver identified as Carlos Enrique Galvan (56 YOA) and was checked through the TCIC/NCIC system and came back wanted out of Maverick County (Theft of Property OCA 29254). Mr. Galvan was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.

600 Block of Wildwood Drive
Burglary of Habitation
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to the 600 block of Wildwood Dr.in reference to a burglary of habitation report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with complainant who stated a known male subject gained entry to his residence and took several items from inside his residence without his effective consent. Complainant wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Motor Vehicle Accident
Highway 57 Check Point
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 1:25 p.m., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to the Checkpoint on US Hwy 57 for a minor motor vehicle accident report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with male driver from unit 2 (2019 Nissan Central) who stated he was stationary on the Immigration checkpoint when unit 1 (2015 Toyota Tundra) struck him on the rear bumper causing minor damage. Deputy made contact with male driver of unit 1 who stated his cell phone fell and when he attempted to grab his cell phone he struck unit 2 on the rear bumper. Both drivers refused medical attention at the time of report. Report was taken.

Michelle Road
Damage to Property
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 4:25 p.m., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to Michelle Rd. in reference to damage to property report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with reporting person who stated a known male subject that he had hired to do work in his ranch had caused damages to the wall of the garage and the cages of his rooters. Reporting person stated he did not know the estimated value of the damages at the time of report.

Wal-Mart
Wanted Person
On this Monday 07-29-19 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Deputy was dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a possible wanted person. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with Eagle Pass Police Officer who stated said male subject identified as Ricardo Garza (33 YOA) was checked through the TCIC/NCIC system and came out wanted out of Maverick County Sheriff’s Department (Probation Violation OCA 15-12-07580-MCR). Garza was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.
