May 1, 2019 - Maverick County Sheriff Daily Report


Burglary of Habitation

Deputies were dispatched to 100 block Standing Rock in reference to a burglary of habitation report. Upon arrival, contact was made with Complainant who stated unknown subject(s) forcefully and unlawfully entered the residence and took a name brand TV without consent. Complainant further stated that the unknown subject(s) also left several water pipes running causing water damages inside the residence. A report was filed.
   
Assault

Deputies were dispatched to 200 block Victoriano Avenue in reference to an assault report. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant who stated that early this morning she was assaulted by a known male subject after becoming upset and accusing her of infidelity. Deputies attempted to make contact with the known male subject, but the subject was not found. A report was filed.



Wanted Person

Deputy was dispatched to the Port of Entry #1 in reference to a possible wanted person. Upon arrival, contact was made with a CBP Agent who stated they had a male subject detained due to a possible active warrant. A TCIC/NCIC system check was conducted on the male subject who was later identified as Luis Cantu (46). System check revealed that Luis Cantu had an outstanding warrant out of Dallas County Sheriff's Office for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration. Cantu was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person/Unauthorized use of Motor Vehicle

Deputy dispatched to Highway 57, Border Patrol Checkpoint, in reference to a wanted person and a possible, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle case. Upon arrival, contact was made with a Border Patrol Agent who stated that he had a male subject detained due to having a possible active warrant in which he was travelling in a possibly stolen vehicle. Deputy conducted a TCIC/NCIC system check on the male subject later identified as Armando Sanchez (33) and the possibly stolen vehicle. System check revealed Sanchez had an active warrant out of Gregg County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Controlled Substance, the system check revealed the vehicle was stolen (2008 white Ford Fusion), reported stolen out of Lakeport Police Department. Armando Sanchez was placed under arrest for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and for having an outstanding warrant. Sanchez was transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. Cantu Wrecker Service was summoned to location and took possession of the vehicle. The 2008 white Ford Fusion was secured and placed at the Maverick County yard. 

Burglary of Building

Deputies were dispatched to 1100 block of Casales Road in reference to a burglary of building report. Upon arrival, contact was made with Complainant who stated her and her husband noticed their storage shed had been broken into. Complainant advised unknown actor(s) entered the building and took several items without their effective consent. Complainant further advised that the incident possibly occurred late last night after hearing noises outside their residence in which she yelled but did not see anyone on her property. A report was filed.

Burglary of Vehicle
Deputies were dispatched to 1900 block Coyunda in reference to a burglary of vehicle report. Upon arrival, contact was made with Complainant who stated unknown subject(s) gained unlawful entry into their vehicle, 1996 Grand Prix, and took off the registration sticker without consent. A report was filed.

Terrorist threats

Deputies were dispatched to make contact with a female complainant who advised that an unknown male subject was passing by her residence and stated deadly threats. Complainant felt fear for her life and property and wished to file a report in reference to the matter.

Public Intoxication

Deputies were dispatched and made contact with a male subject walking with an open beer container. After further investigation, male subject identified as: Isabel Zapata (64) displayed unstable balance, slur speech and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. Male subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.

Wanted Person

Deputies patrolling the area of Eagle Heights when vehicle with an open door outside a property was observed located in the 3200 block of Palma Street. Undersigned then proceeded to make contact with vehicle owner in which a male subject was then identified as Sergio Ramos, 37. Undersigned conducted an NCIC/TCIC on said male subject in which return revealed a local active warrant. Male subject was placed under arrest for the active warrant and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
