Maverick County Daily Reports-March 15, 2019

Burglary of Building-A unit responded to Industrial Blvd. this morning where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) had entered an unoccupied building and took several items being housed without consent. A formal report was filed.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A female subject claiming to be thirty-year-old Nicole Bright was arrested at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after patrol agents had detained her when she was found in possession of marijuana. Contact was made with Bright, who took ownership of the narcotics. She was then transported, whereupon arrival it was determined she had given false information to a peace officer when her name did not match corresponding records. She was later positively identified as Nina Alexander, who also had a warrant out of Travis County. Ms. Alexander was then processed and has been in holding.

Burglary of Vehicle-A resident on Ruela Street reported an unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle and took several items without consent. A formal report was filed.

Cruelty to Animal-A complainant on the 10300 block of US Highway 277 N reported he had heard a loud bang akin to a gunshot outside his residence. He then went outside and saw his dog had been injured on his left leg by a gunshot wound. A formal report was filed.
