Maverick County Daily Reports-March 16, 2019

Possession of a Controlled Substance-A deputy patroling Calle Encuentro this morning made contact with the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala after conducting a stop for a minor infraction. The driver, forty-eight-year-old Raul Alvarez, was asked to exit his vehicle for safety purposes and upon conducting a search, was found to be in possession of a prescribed narcotic(clonazepam). Alvarez could not produce a prescription for the drug and was taken into custody. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Charles Hernandez was arrested at the international port of entry 2 this evening after agents at the port initially detained him when a check revealed active warrants. The warrants out of Bexar County were confirmed as open and Mr. Hernandez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person/Failure to Identify-A deputy patrolling the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Ford F-150 for a minor violation this evening. Contact was made with the driver, Juan Carlos Romo, who initially gave deputies a different identification. A search revealed Mr. Romo had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
