Maverick County Daily Reports-November 12, 2018

Driving While Intoxicated/Motor Vehicle Accident-A deputy responded to the intersection of Main Street and Bibb Ave. this morning after City of Eagle Pass Police Department vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with officers at the scene, who reported they had encountered a male subject asleep behind the wheel of  2012 Dodge Challenger when he struck a Police Department patrol unit. The subject, later identified as Eduardo Maldonado, III, then reversed his vehicle and struck a second patrol unit. He was arrested on DWI charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A resident on the 100 block of School Circle reported unknown subject(s) had unlawfully entered her parked vehicle and took several items without her consent.  A formal report was filed.

Theft-A complainant reported a known female subject has been using a company credit card and has been making unauthorized transactions without the company's consent. A formal report was filed.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies on patrol this afternoon conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Nissan Versa on Coyunda Street for a minor infraction. Contact was made with the driver, Juan Rangel, who was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Fraud/Identity Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) have been using her personal information to make unauthorized transactions and open new accounts without her consent. A formal report was filed.
