Maverick County Daily Reports-July 18, 2018

Public Intoxication-Deputies arrested a male subject found in a highly intoxicated state during a traffic stop conducted in Las Quintas early this morning. The subject was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Units made their way to the Maverick County Lake early this morning, where a female subject driving a Nissan pickup had been stopped by City of Eagle Pass Police officers after she attempted to flee the scene of a single motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with the female, who stated she had followed her boyfriend into the County lake when she reversed her pickup and struck a pole. Deputies detected a strong alcoholic odor emitting from her person as well as a slurred speech. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Contact was also made with a male at the scene, who was identified as the subject's boyfriend. he male also displayed a slurred speech. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-Units responded to the 3500 block of Del Rio Blvd this evening after a complainant reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Upon arrival at the scene, contact was made with the male subject identified as Carlos Martinez, who was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The complainant refused medical attention at the time of the report.
