Maverick County Daily Reports-February 03, 2018

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies patrolling Memo Robinson Road this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Saturn for a minor infraction. A strong marijuana odor was found emitting from the vehicle upon making contact with its occupant and a glass containing marijuana was found in plain view behind the passenger seat. The passenger, identified as Jose Luis Barrientos, took ownership of the marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-A unit responded to the 1000 block of Erika, where a complainant reported his son had been acting in an aggressive fashion, throwing objects around the residence. Josue Adrian Hernandez was placed in custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication- Contact was made with a male subject found walking along FM1021 in a very disoriented stated this morning. Orlando Vasquez was found to be highly intoxicated and told deputies he had been drinking. For his safety and that of others, he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-A complainant on the 500 block of El Charro Road reported her husband had broken a window to the residence and had almost struck her with an object he threw in her direction. Deputies arrived at the location to find the husband, thirty-four year old Joel Porras Tarango, intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Robert Quintero was taken into custody at the international port of entry #1 this evening when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry #2 after agents at the port had detained a male subject whose background check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant for Edgar Martinez was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-A complainant on Old Pioneer Road reported unknown actor(s) had taken his vehicle without consent after it had been left on the side of the road without any fuel.
