Maverick County Daily Reports-February 04, 2018

DWI/Possession of a Controlled Substance-A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Ford Taurus near FM1021 and Lewis Drive this morning. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Adrian Rodriguez, who displayed signs of intoxication. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest, and in the midst of the pat down, was found to be in possession of a small bag containing a white powdery substance with cocaine characteristics. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing and his vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.

Public Intoxication-Juan Gaspar Salazar was taken into custody this morning after he was found in an intoxicated state while asleep behind the wheel of a stationary 2005 Ford Mustang. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence/Assault-Units responded to the 1500 block of Mariana in reference to a family disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant who reported she had been involved in a physical confrontation with a known male subject in which she had been assaulted. The known subject, Armando Talamantes, was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence/Theft-A resident on Christian Street reported she had been involved in an argument with her boyfriend, who used excessive force while grabbing her wrists. The complainant reported her boyfriend took a watch and bracelet without consent before leaving the scene.

Assault/Family Violence-Jose Napolion Nandin, Jr. was arrested this afternoon after it was reported he had assaulted his sister upon entering the residence. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Resisting Arrest-Miguel Angel Salinas was charged with resisting arrest this evening after becoming aggressive and refused to be placed in hand restraints after refusing a pat down search. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
