Wanted Person-Deputies conducting a traffic stop this morning off of FM1021 found the driver of a 2005 Dodge Van to have an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Maverick County for Miguel Angel Balderas was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
DWI-Units responded to the intersection of Wagon Wheel Road and Chucho Drive this morning after a vehicle had struck a trash can. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Zelda Galindo, who refused medical attention. However, she displayed a slurred speech and an alcoholic odor emitting from her person, which prompted deputies to request a field sobriety exam. Ms. Galindo gave consent to the exam and performed poorly. She was placed under arrest on DWI charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Fraud-A complainant reported a mechanic shop had been making copies of his dealership license plates without consent.
