Maverick County Daily Reports-October 09, 2017

Assault/Family Violence/Criminal Mischief-A resident on the 100 block of School Circle reported being involved in a verbal argument with her common law husband that escalated into a physical altercation.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Possession of Marijuana-A unit was dispatched to the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino parking lot this morning after a male and female were detained after it was determined there may have been methamphetamine inside their vehicle. Consent to search the 2006 Buick was given by the driver, Rafeal Torres. The search yielded the discovery of a marijuana cigarette and further investigation found the passenger, Debra Lee Contreras, was in possession of a methamphetamine. The two were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A complainant on the 100 block of Spring Wood reported an unknown vehicle had struck the side of her 2017 Jeep Wrangler, breaking her driver's side mirror.

Wanted Person-Jacob Skyler Valdez was taken into custody this morning after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to High Noon after a school bus backed into a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The passengers involved were all checked by EMS crews at the scene and two were eventually transported to the ER for further evaluation.
