Maverick County Daily Reports-October 08, 2017

Wanted Person-Cynthia Lissete Mendoza was arrested at the international port of entry #2 this morning after a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Ms. Mendoza was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Driving with an Invalid LicenseA traffic stop on FM1021 early this morning yielded the arrest of an individual identified as Raymundo Rodriguez, Jr. when it was revealed he was operating without a valid license. Mr. Rodriguez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Units were disapatched to the US Border Patrol Checkpoint on Highway 57, where agents detained a male subject with an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant for Eduardo Garcia, Jr. out of the Austin Parole Board was confirmed and Mr. Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Wanted Person--A Disturbance in progress call this afternoon led to the detention of one individual with an active warrant out of Maverick County and a second individual with a municipal warrant. Victor Rivas was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. Jose Juan Trevino, Jr. was detained and later turned over to City of Eagle Pass police officers.

Possession of Stolen Property-Deputies were dispatched to Baltica Street in Loma Bonita after residents reported hearing shots fired this evening. Upon arrival to the 1200 block of Baltica, contact was made with Rodolfo Ponce Rodriguez, Jr., who admitted to having fired shots towards the ground. A check on the firearm, however, revealed it had been reported stolen out of Neshoba County. Mr. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The weapon was confiscated and transported to the evidence locker at the sheriff's office for investigation purposes.


MVA/DWI-A unit responded to the intersection of Sunrise Loop and FM1021 this evening after a vehicle attempting to turn off of FM1021 was struck from behind. Contact was made with the occupants of both vehicles and a field sobriety test was eventually conducted on the driver of the unit causing the accident. The test determined that the driver, identified as Antonia T. Garcia, was intoxicated at the time of the accident. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Mack Circle in reference to an unwanted subject at the location, whereupon arrival made contact with an aggressive female. The subject, identified as twenty-six year old Nayla Hernandez was placed into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
