Maverick County Daily Reports-September 22, 2017

Criminal Mischief-A County employee reported the Balcones Park computer center had been vandalized overnight, where several walls and items of furniture were found broken. This case is under investigation.

Wanted Person-Alejandro Cervera was arrested at the Maverick County Adult Probation Department this afternoon after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-A deputy responded to a location on South Veterans Blvd. this afternoon, where a complainant reported a known male subject had assaulted him at the Chula Vista Ranch. The complainant displayed lacerations to his upper and lower lip and across the right cheek area, however, refused medical attention.

Resisting Arrest-A County unit was dispatched to the 100 block of Pueblo Nuevo and made contact with a complainant who had reported being involved in a verbal confrontation with his girlfriend. Contact was made with the girlfriend, identified as Selena Jimenez, who became combative and verbally aggressive. Ms. Jimenez was eventually taken into custody after resisting arrest. She was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Victor Hernandez was taken into custody this evening after agents at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 detained him on when a check revealed a warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed and Mr. Hernandez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
