Maverick County Daily Reports-February 07, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident-A single motor vehicle accident led County units towards US Highway 277 North this morning. Upon arrival, it was revealed the driver of a Dodge van was traveling westbound on Highway 131 when she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway, striking a fence. The driver refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies responded to a residence in Quemado, Texas after a complainant reported she and her husband had both engaged in a physical confrontation. Both parties refused medical attention.

Arson-Units were en route to the Maverick County Fair Grounds after fielding calls of a structural fire. Upon arrival,  fire crews at the scene were able to safely extinguish the fire. This case is under investigation.

Theft/Burglary of Building-A resident on the 1300 block of Minerva reported unknown subject(s) had gained entry into a storage room behind his home and took several items without consent.

Wanted Person-Juan Homer Ysassi, Jr. was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #1 this afternoon after initially being detained when a check revealed an active warrant.The warrant out of Austin, Texas was confirmed and Mr. Homer was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy responded to Casino Grocery #3, where unknown subjects entered the store and took two 18 packs of beer without paying.
