Maverick County Daily Reports-February 12, 2017

Wanted Person-David Gregorio Garza was placed under arrest at the international port of entry 2 this morning after a routine check revealed an active warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Garza was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Failure to Identify-A complainant at a gas station this morning reported his juvenile daughter had been harassed by a male subject at the scene, however, chose not to press charges. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Raul Balderas, who was found in a highly intoxicated state. Mr. Balderas also gave a false name and date of birth . He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies arrived to a residence on Progresso Street this morning to find an out of control male subject. Contact was made with a family member, who stated her grandson had begun throwing items around the house and was verbally aggressive. Raul Cuevas was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on the 3200 block of El Indio Highway reported unknown subject(s) had taken the air cylinders to his belly dump truck without consent.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to Ramos Tire Shops after receiving reports of illegal activity in the area this evening. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male subject identified as Sergio Ramos, whose background check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. Mr. Ramos was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
