Maverick County Daily Reports-February 13, 2017

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-Deputies on patrol this morning observed a vehicle matching the description of vehicle reported as stolen.A check  onb the 1983 Chevrolet Silverado was indeed reported stolen with the City of Eagle Pass Police Department.. The vehicle was then taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.

Dog Bite-A complainant at the Stat Emergency Center reported a Highlander Dog had bitten her six-month old infant in the eye area, causing a minor laceration.

Wanted Person-John Diaz was arrested at the Maverick County Adult Probation Office this morning when a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Diaz was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry #1 after CBP agents detained a female subject when a check revealed an open warrant. Christina Lovos-Medina was placed under arrest when the warrant out of Kerr County was confirmed. She was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Units were dispatched to Costa Rica Road in reference to a family violence call in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female subject who reported being assaulted by her husband over a cell phone. She further stated that the known male subject became enraged and threw a liquor bottle at her vehicle, shattering the front window. Both parties refused medical attention.
