Maverick County Daily Reports-February 09, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-A deputy was dispatched to Highway 481 shortly after 6:30 this morning, where the driver of a Direct TV van struck a guard rail after avoiding an animal that crossed his path on the roadway. The vehicle sustained damaged to the front bumper and a right quarter panel. The driver refused medical attention.

Hit and Run-A resident on Alamo Street reported an unknown vehicle struck his Ford F-150 on the right side of the vehicle while it was parked outside his home. A report was filed.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on Progresso Street Reported unknown male subjects entered her residence without consent and took items belonging to her son.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-A 2001 Mercury traveling Eastbound on Thompson Road struck a Nissan GXE traveling in the opposite direction when it attempted to make a left turn onto Daryl Street. The driver of the Mercury fled the scene in an unknown direction and the vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.
A complainant on the 400 block of Wildwood had reported that a known male subject had entered her parent's residence and took the keys to her vehicle, the Mercury involved in the accident, without her consent.
