Maverick County Daily Reports-February 10, 2017

Discharge of a Firearm in Public-Units responded to a residence on Frente Street this morning after receiving reports of shots being fired. Deputies were en route at approximately 6:20 AM, whereupon arrival, contact was made with a male subject identified as Christopher De Leon. Mr. De Leon stated he discharged his AR-Riffle 223 towards the ground in order to separate his girlfriend and his mother, who were engaged in an argument. Mr. De Leon was taken into custody for discharging a firearm in public and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A deputy patrolling Encino Street observed what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle. A check on a 2015 Nissan 4 door revealed the vehicle had been reported as stolen with the City of Eagle Pass Police Department. The vehicle was turned over to the Auto Theft Division.
