Maverick County Daily Reports-January 17, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident/DWI/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Noe Ramiro Rico was placed under arrest early this morning when County units responded to a motor vehicle accident on FM2030. Upon arrival, deputies found  Mr. Rico in an intoxicated state, displaying red glossy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. The 2011 Chevrolet HHR he had been operating had struck a light pole/stop sign and a residence fence line. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Mr. Rico was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. His vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.


Forgery-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to report an unknown female had forged her signature on a check and cashed it. A report was filed.

Theft-A resident on the 700 block of Lago Vista reported unknown subject(s) had taken a Craftsman air compressor from his back yard without consent.

Information Report/Motor Vehicle Accident- Units were dispatched to US Highway 277 North this morning, where the driver of a 2009 FedEx tractor trailer lost control of his vehicle, forcing it to slide into the canal. The Texas Department of Public Safety was at the locale and took over the scene of the accident.
