Maverick County Daily Reports-January 18, 2017

Burglary of Vehicle-Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Coyunda early this AM after residents reported unknown subject(s) had entered their vehicles without consent and took a cellular phone from a Ford F-350 and a dashboard stereo from a Ford Explorer. The owner of the F-350 was able to point out the male subject who had entered his vehicle and the male juvenile was taken into custody.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to report unknown subject(s) had entered his vehicle overnight and took the MP3 stereo receiver without consent. The stolen receiver had been recovered the previous evening from a male juvenile that had been detained.

Motor Vehicle Accident-The driver of a Dodge Nitro attempting to make a left turn onto Wildwood Drive when he was struck by a delivery bobtail truck. Both drivers refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a female subject this afternoon after she was initially detained by City Police when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the female was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Boulder Ridge, where two residents reported unknown subject(s) had entered their vehicles without consent and took their car stereos. One resident also reported his wallet had been taken.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-The driver of a Toyota Yaris traveling southbound on Rosita Valley Road this afternoon lost controlled of the vehicle and veered right, striking a utility pole.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to Thompson Road, where a PT Cruiser struck a Chevrolet pickup when it attempted to make a u-turn.
