Maverick County Daily Reports-August 01, 2016

Wanted Person-Deputies responding to an information report on the 400 block of Pino Street arrested Laura Daniel-Rivas when a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Rivas was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.


Criminal Mischief/Theft-A complainant on the 1200 block of Siesta Drive reported an unknown actor had damaged and taken his chain-link fence without his consent.

Wanted Person-Israel Jimenez was arrested at the international port of entry number two this morning after CBP agents detained him when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Jimenez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy responded to the 1800 block of Las Quintas Blvd., where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) had taken the battery to a tractor without consent.


Terroristic Threats-A complainant reported her boyfriend had verbally threatened her, causing her to feel for her life. Contact was made with the boyfriend, who was identified as Abraham Munoz Estrada. After a brief investigation, it was revealed that Mr. Estrada was an undocumented citizen. He was turned over to United States Border Patrol agents.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford Mustang this evening for a minor traffic infraction. In the midst of the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of a small baggie containing characteristics of marijuana. The substance later tested positive for marijuana and both occupants of the vehicle claimed ownership. Manuel Rodriguez II and Eduardo Penalver were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
