DWI/Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responded to Las Quintas this morning in reference to a male subject asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, a Dodge Charger was found to be impeding traffic on the roadway. Contact was made with the male subject found sleeping behind the wheel, later identified as Aaron Garcia. Garcia displayed signs of intoxication, and after a pat down, was found to be in possession of a baggie containing a white powdery substance which later tested positive for cocaine. Mr. Garcia was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object/Possession of a Controlled Substance-The driver of a vehicle collided with approximately 100 ft. of a chainlink fence this afternoon. The driver was also found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine.
Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle-A complainant on Barrera Street reported her 1997 Mitsubishi Galant had been taken without her consent and wished to file it as stolen.
Wanted Person-Pedro Utter Jr. was arrested at the international port of entry #2 after agents detained him when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Utter was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
