Maverick County Daily Reports-July 17, 2016

Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-Deputies on patrol attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that had left the scene of a possible assault earlier were led on a minor pursuit this morning, when the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle came to a stop at the end of Guisseppi Street and continued on foot until the subject was apprehended blocks later. Mario Alberto Diaz was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on Juan Circle this afternoon. Contact was made with a male subject, Jose Felipe Casarez Jr, who was found to have an active warrant out of Maverick County. Casarez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A resident on Blanca Road reported unknown subject(s) had entered his ranch and took three goats without his consent. A report was taken.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the Casino Grocery on FM1021 this evening where a 2016 Dodge Journey collided into the building, causing a large hole.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Vanessa Garza at the City of Eagle Pass Police Department after she had been detained when it was revealed she had an active warrant out of Maverick County. Garza was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Riddle in reference to a possible distrubance in progress. Upon arrival, deputies observed a female subject out of control, throwing objects throughout the apartment. Samantha Sutton was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
