Maverick County Daily Reports-May 27, 2016

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 early this morning after patrol agents detained a female subject with an apparent active warrant. Breella Janee Saw was placed under arrest after the deputy received positive confirmation on the warrant out of Bexar County. Ms. Saw was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Minor Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection of US Highway 277 North and Thompson Road, where a Toyota Camry waiting for a signal light to change was struck from behind by a Ford Escape. Both parties refused medical attention at the time of this report.

ID Theft- A complainant on Encuentro Street reported unknown subject(s) are using his personal information without his consent.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection FM1021 and Tierra Soberana Blvd, where a Chevrolet van waiting for a signal light to change was struck from behind by a Ford F-250 which failed to control its speed and stop. Both parties refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on Progresso Street told deputies unknown subjects gained entry to his residence without his consent.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Erika Valdez at the international Port of Entry #1 after a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Ms. Valdez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A traffic stop conducted this afternoon revealed the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of marijuana. Alfonso Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
