Maverick County Daily Reports-March 31, 2016

Motor Vehicle Accident-A 2001 Freightliner traveling eastbound on US Highway 277 South was involved in a single vehicle accident rollover early this morning. Deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:32 AM this morning, where upon arrival, spoke with the driver, identified as Floriberto Pena of Anaheim, California. Mr. Pena stated he had reached over to the passenger side to obtain an item when the vehicle veered off to the right, causing it to roll over. Mr. Pena refused medical attention at the time of the report. The Texas Department of Public Safety was also at the scene and took over.

Disorderly Conduct/Damage to Property-A complainant on Elk Lane Reported a known female arriving at her residence and kicking the door in an attempt to gain access. Moments later, the subject left the residence and struck the complainant's vehicle.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to FM 1021 this evening, where a vehicle was involved in a single motor vehicle rollover accident. Contact was made with the driver, who stated he swerved to avoid hitting a deer on the roadway and lost control. He would later be airlifted to a San Antonio area hospital for further treatment.
