A Public Service Announcement from the City of Eagle Pass

Public Service Announcement
The City of Eagle Pass Public Works Department will begin the reconstruction of Wilson Street from Travis Street to Crockett Street on March 31st, 2016. The same process will occur on Crockett Street, from Wilson Street through Garrison Street on the above mentioned date.  During the process, no through traffic will be allowed. Barricades will be set up during the reconstruction to control traffic flow.

During the reconstruction there will be heavy equipment, dust, and noise in and around the construction area. We recommend that cars not drive over the construction zone, unless necessary, and if so, to do so slowly. We ask for your cooperation in obeying all traffic signs, including flagmen assigned to the area. No parking will be allowed on the right of way during construction. If vehicles remain on the right of way, wrecker service will be utilized at the owner's expense. Sprinklers will not be allowed to be left on overnight during the period of construction. Failure to abide will lead to a citation to municipal court.

It is the intention of the Public Works Department to finish the reconstruction as quickly as possible but there may be unforeseeable delays due to the actual condition of the in-place materials. Cooperation from all residents will also enhance the construction.

If you need additional information or have any questions, please call our office at 830-773-9408.
