Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection of US Highway 57 and FM 481 this morning, where a tractor trailer hauling granite was involved in a single vehicle accident rollover. Contact was made with forty-two year old Chris Hubbard, the driver of the trailer, who stated he had lost control of the vehicle, causing the trailer to roll over. The vehicle came to a rest near the front entrance to the Picosa Creek Ranch.
Wanted Person-A deputy responded to Kelso Street after City of Eagle Pass Police officers had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. Jose Alberto Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant was confirmed.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer this afternoon, where upon search of the vehicle, discovered two clear plastic baggies containing a black rock. A test of the substance revealed it to be positive for approximately .04 grams of Heroin. The driver, Cesar Salazar, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
