Maverick County Daily Reports-March 10, 2016

Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Recovered Stolen Vehicle-Deputies responded to the intersection of FM2644 and FM1021 near El Indio, Texas after United States Border Patrol agents requested assistance with a vehicle pursuit entering Maverick County. A check on the 2006 Dodge Ram pickup in pursuit revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen with the City of Eagle Pass Police Department. After several miles, the pursuit came to an end when the Ram made a complete stop near FM2030. Deputies made contact with the driver, Christopher Burns, who was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 3100 block of El Indio Highway stated unknown subjects gained access to his vehicle without consent.

Theft-A complainant leasing a property reported the property owner had taken away two vehicles parked at the location without his consent.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international Port of Entry #1, where CBP agents detained a male subject with an active warrant. Javier Menchaca was found to have an open warrant out of Bexar County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 South this afternoon after a Mexican National was involved in a single motor vehicle accident when his motorcycle hit a hydroplane. The male subject lost control of his 2007 Honda Gold Wing and was ejected from the motorcycle, however, refused medical attention.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Saul Nino at the international Port of Entry #2 after it was revealed that he had an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Nino was then transported to the Tom  Bowles Detention Center for processing.
