Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A deputy patrolling FM1021 this morning conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Pickup traveling over the speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Rodrigo Lozano, and a search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of two plastic baggies of marijuana as well as two packs of kriadex cloriazapam pills. Mr. Lozano was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-a deputy responded to the United States Border Patrol south station, where agents conducted a stop on a 2002 Honda Civic reported as stolen out of San Antonio, Texas. Arrested was Josue Jonathan Galeano out of Honduras. Galeano was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident, Public Intoxication-Deputies were dispatched to the Deer Run subdivision after fielding calls for a possible hit and run. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who reported a vehicle had struck their Chrysler 300 and fled the area. In the midst of taking the report, the vehicle in question, a 2006 Jeep, passed by the location. A traffic stop was conducted and Brandon Banuelos was placed under arrest for public intoxication charges. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident-A single motor vehicle accident occurred in the Hopedale area when a female driving a 2013 Ford Expedition struck a deer that crossed her path. The Expedition sustained damages to the front right quarter panel.
Wanted Person-Deputies patrolling Macarena Street conducted a traffic stop on a silver SUV. A background check on Daniel Alejandro Moreno, the driver of the vehicle, revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Moreno was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The vehicle was released to his wife, who was also at the scene.
Wanted Person-Deputies made contact with Ruben Rodriguez, who was found to have a pending warrant. Mr. Rodriguez was placed in custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
