Maverick County Daily Reports-February 25, 2016

Public Intoxication/Criminal Mischief-Deputies responded to the Stone Ranch after a male subject was found trespassing on private property. Contact was made with United States Border Patrol agents, who stated Gerardo Ruelas had cut the lock and gained entry onto the property without the owner's consent. Mr. Ruelas displayed signs of unstable balance, bloodshot eyes, and a slurred speech. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Driving While Intoxicated/Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-A male individual was placed under arrest early this morning after initiating a short pursuit through the Loma Bonita area. Deputies attempted to conduct a stop on a 2008 Ford Fusion on Potro Street, however, the driver continued for several blocks until coming to a stop on the 800 block of Progresso Street. The driver, identified as David Trevino, had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person, unstable balance, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center. The vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.

Public Intoxication/Failure to Identify-During the same traffic stop, deputies arrested Antonio Herrera Segura, who initial gave a deputy a false identification. He also displayed unstable balance, slurred speech, and bloodshot eyes. Herrera was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry after CBP agents detained a male subject whose background check revealed an active warrant. William Martinez was placed under arrest after the warrant was confirmed and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Identity Theft-A complainant stated an unknown subject was using his social security number without his consent.

Wanted Person-The City of Eagle Pass Police Station made contact with a deputy this afternoon after city officers detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. Alex Vasquez was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant was confirmed.

Burglary of Habitation/Terroristic Threats-A complainant on the 3100 block of Mack Circle reported her ex-husband had entered her residence without her consent. She further stated her ex-husband threatened her life and also planned to burn the house down.

Criminal Mischief-A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Barbara, where a complainant reported unknown subjects had brown two windows to her 2009 GMC Acadia with a BB gun.
