Maverick County Daily Reports-February 26, 2016

Wanted Person/ Possession of a Controlled Substance/Recovered Narcotics-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol station, where agents stated they had conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant near Deer Run for possibly being involved in illegal smuggling. Further investigation found the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of a black rock in a plastic baggie. The substance later tested positive for heroin. John Carrazco and a passenger in the vehicle were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. Mr. Carrazco was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the City of Austin. A thorough search of the vehicle latter found a small amount of a green leafy substance, later testing positive as marijuana.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the 1800 block of De Bona, where City of Eagle Pass Police officers had detained a male subject identified as Sergio Selallo. Selallo, whose warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed, was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A male subject was arrested on public intoxication charges this morning when deputies at the Stripes convenience store on FM1021 observed the male with unstable movements. While speaking to the male subjects, deputies further observed he was not able to respond. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Wanted Person/Possession of Marijuana-Deputies were dispatched to the Shell Station at the intersection of FM1021 and Rosita Valley Road in reference to a wanted person. Contact was made with Tribal police officers, who detained three individuals. Marc Anthony Ortiz was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Uvalde County. A pat down of Jose Antonio Salazar yielded the discovery of a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance. The third individual, Adrian Rodriguez, was detained for being publicly intoxicated. All three were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Isabel Zapata this evening on an active warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

DWI/Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-While responding to a call on Baltica Street, a deputy observed a Ford Expedition traveling recklessly and at a high rate of speed on Memo Robinson Road. The driver of the vehicle failed to render at the initial attempt to conduct a traffic stop and a chase ensued before coming to a complete stop by the intersection of Fletcher and Tron Street. Alfredo Suarez was placed under arrest for evading arrest and was later charged with DWI class A after performing a breathalyzer. Suarez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz-A deputy was dispatched to the United States Border Patrol south station , where agents detained a female subject who was found in possession of both marijuana and a controlled substance. Nora Sabrina Davila was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Public Intoxication-A deputy responded to Thompson Road after a vehicle was involved in a rollover accident. Contact was made with the driver, who displayed unstable movements and had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his breath. Emanuel Dominguez was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
