Maverick County Daily Reports-February 24, 2016

Possession of Marijuana under Two oz.-Deputies were dispatched to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 North early this morning after agents detained a male subject found to be in possession of marijuana. David Justin Rendon of San Antonio, Texas was in possession of a ziploc bag containing a leafy substance with marijuana characteristics as well as drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Narcotics-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol South Station in reference to a small amount of marijuana that had been recovered. The narcotics were turned over to the Sheriff's Department for safekeeping.

Family Violence/Assault/Terroristic Threats-Deputies were advised by a female complainant that she had been assaulted by her husband this morning. The male subject had left the area upon deputies arrival.

Possession of a Dangerous Drug-A deputy responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after a male subject was found to be in possession of nine Tramadol pills. Alejo Guedea was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Identity Theft-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to report that someone has been using his Social Security number for employment. Hours later, a second complainant arrived to report the same occurrence.

Wanted Person-A traffic stop on the 400 block of of Balcones Blvd. last night revealed the driver of the vehicle to have an active warrant. Jesus Antonio Gonzalez was placed under arrest after the warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection of Short Street and Deer Run Blvd., where the driver of a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder lost control of the vehicle and collided into a light pole. The driver and the passenger of the vehicle were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for further treatment.
