Maverick County Daily Reports-December 10, 2015

Motor Vehicle Accident-A deputy responded to the intersection of FM 1021 and Old Pioneer road this morning, after a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound on FM 1021 was struck from behind. Contact was made with the driver of the Malibu, who refused medical attention at the time of the report. No visible damages were found on the Malibu. No information was provided on the other vehicle involved.

Assault/Terroristic Threats-Deputies made contact with a female complainant who reported her juvenile soon had been involved in a physical altercation with a male subject. She stated that the male subject had threatened her son's life. She was advised to contact the Criminal Investigations unit for further processing.

Fraud-A female complainant arrived at the Sheriff's Office to report unknown subject(s) had taken her check and cashed it. Complainant further stated that unknown subjects had defrauded her from her will.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on Frente Street reported unknown subject(s) had entered her residence without her consent and took an X-Box video game system.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint after a female subject had been detained for an active warrant. Deputies were able to confirm an open warrant on Virginia Montelongo, who was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-United States Border Patrol agents made contact with deputies after a female undocumented citizen from Guatemala had possibly drowned attempting to cross the Rio Grande River with her son and two other adult females.

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the international Port of Entry #1, where agents detained an intoxicated male subject. Upon arrival, deputies determined Victor Bautista was in a highly intoxicated state. He was given the opportunity to make arrangements to be picked up but could not find someone. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
