Maverick County Daily Reports-November 21, 2015

Reckless Driving-A deputy was dispatched to Us Highway 57 in reference to a reckless driver on the highway. The county unit was able to observe the black Ford Mustang traveling southbound on Highway 57  at a high rate of speed (86 MPH in a 55 MPH Zone). Emergency lights were enacted but the driver continued for several miles before coming to a complete stop. The driver, identified as forty-seven year old Gilberto Flores Davila of Grand Prairie, Texas, was asked to step out of the vehicle and complied. A search of the vehicle found several open beer containers. Mr. Flores was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. He would also be cited for an open container.

Public Intoxication-A deputy responded to the intersection of FM 1021 and Tierra Soberana this morning, where a Tribal police officer stated a there was disturbance between a male and female subject inside of a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe. The officer was able to make contact with Miguel Angel Aguilar and Melissa Lynn De La Garza, both of Uvalde, Texas, who stated they were having a verbal argument. Further investigations detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from both persons as well as a slurred speech and unstable balance. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
