Maverick County Daily Reports-November 20, 2015

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to an assistance call from  the Kickapoo Tribal Police Department this morning after a 2002 grey Chevrolet Tahoe attempted to evade a traffic stop. County units arrived at the scene and an officer made contact with the three occupants of the vehicle, who were found to have a strong odor of alcohol emitting from their person and an unstable balance. The three male subjects, identified as Josue Torres, Ignacio Torres, and Ricardo Rodriguez, were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A deputy patrolling Eidson Road this morning made contact with a male subject identifed as Jose Luis Martinez Aguero. A Background check conducted on Mr. Martinez revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-a deputy was dispatched to the international Port of Entry #1 after customs agents detained a female subject with an active warrant. The officer confirmed the open warrant out of Maverick County for fifty-four year old Maricela Navarrete. Ms. Navarrete was arreste dand transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A county unit responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint, where a male subject had been detained by agents. Upon arrival, it was revealed that Ricardo Alphonso Lighter was found to be in possession of clear plastic bags containing a green leafy substance. The substance later tested positive for marijuana. Mr. Lighter was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to calls from the Eagle Pass Police Department, where a female subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County had been detained. The deputy was able to confirm the open warrant on Elsa Ramos. Ms. Ramos was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A county unit responded to the intersection of Adolphus and Brian Street, where City of Eagle Pass Police Officers had detained a male subject with a warrant out of Maverick County. Juan Jaime Martinez was taken into custody after the warrant was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Resisting Arrest-Units were dispatched to Mayan Circle after fielding a call of an aggressive intoxicated subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with Jose Antonio Lopez. While attempting to detain him, Mr. Lopez began to resist deputy directions and commands. Necessary force was then used to subdue Mr. Lopez, who was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

Family Violence/Assault-A complainant on Ranchitos Road reported that she and her husband had an argument earlier this month and in the course of the argument had been assaulted by him.

Motor Vehicle Accident/DWI-A deputy patrolling FM 1021 was flagged down by citizen near Casino Grocery in reference to a minor motor vehicle accident. A 2013 silver Dodge 3500 at 
the intersection of FM2030 and FM1021 reversed into a 2007 Saturn. Eduardo Chacon Palacios was then taken into custody after it was determined that he was intoxicated.
