Maverick County Daily Reports-November 25, 2015

Vehicle Impoundment-While patrolling the Loma Bonita Sector, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2008 Maroon Hyundai after it disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Potro and Lago Vista. The vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit ensued as the vehicle turned into an apartment complex on Barbara Street, where the driver bailed out and ran towards Frente Street. A search of the area was performed but to no avail. The Hyundai was towed to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for investigation.

Located Missing Juvenile-A deputy made contact with CBP agents at the international Port of Entry #2 in reference to a missing juvenile attempting to enter the United States. The juvenile was confirmed to have been reported missing to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office and was released to the custody of the parent.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 7200 block of FM 1021 reported unknown subject(s) had shattered the window to his 1987 blue Chevrolet with an unknown object.

Assault/Family Violence/Recovered Narcotics-Deputies arrived to the 800 block of Casales where a female complainant reported her common law husband became aggresive and assaulted her when he threw her to the ground and began choking her. The male subject had left the area prior to the units arrival. The female also turned over a green leafy substance belong to her common law husband that later tested positive as marijuana.

Damage to Property-A female complainant on the 2900 block of Irma Morales reported an unknown vehicle had struck her fenceline, causing damages.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 57 this afternoon, after a Ford F-150 traveling northbound crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. The five occupants of both vehicles were transported to the emergency room, including a passenger that was air lifted from the scene. The Texas Department of Public Safety was on scene and has since taken over the investigation.
