Maverick County Daily Reports-November 26, 2015

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry #2 after CBP agents detained a male subject attempting to the enter the United States for having an active warrant. A warrant for Armando Velez Santana out of Bryan County was confirmed and Mr. Santana was taken into custody, where he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Deputies patroling FM 1021 observed a male subject sleeping behind the wheel by the Stripes parking lot this morning. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Ignacio Zaragoza III. Mr. Zaragoza was found to have a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his body, blood shot eyes, and an unstable balance. He was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-A deputy responded to US Highway 277 East this morning after an accident involving an eighteen wheeler shut down the road this morning. Contact was made with the driver, Kibrom Kidane, who stales he lost control of his freightliner trailer, causing it to jack knife on the highway. The accident caused diesel gas to spill onto the highway, closing 277 East while the cleanup ensued. The Texas Department of Public Safety was also at the scene and has since taken over the investigation. 

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on Blue Sky Road reported unknown person(s) had gained entry into his hunting cabin and stole several items.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to FM 2030, where a vehicle driven by a fourteen year old juvenile collided into a 2003 GMC Yukon and a Ford F-150 when he failed to give the other vehicles the right of way. One occupant, the driver of the Yukon, was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center emergency room for further treatment.

Wanted Person-A deputy was dispatched to the international Port of Entry #2, where CBP agents detained a female subject for an active warrant out of the City of Austin. The warrant for Claudia Delgado was confirmed and she was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on Baltica Street reported unknown person(s) had entered his residence and stolen several items.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-Deputies responded to Canal Street after a vehicle was reported to have been found submerged inside of a canal. A wrecker was summoned to the scene where the vehicle was removed and was discovered to have been reported stolen. This case is under investigation.

Aggravated Sexual Assault-A complainant filed a report for an aggravated sexual assault. This case is under investigation.

Wanted Person-A unit was dispatched to the international Port of Entry #2 after customs agents detained a wanted person attempting to enter the United States. A background check on forty-four year old Reynaldo Marquez, Jr. confirmed an outstanding warrant out of Bexar County. Mr. Marquez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
