Maverick County Daily Reports-September 26, 2015

Deceased Person-A deputy was dispatched to the Conoco Ranch on US Highway 277 East in reference to human remains found by United States Border Patrol agents. A criminal investigator and Justice of the Peace Mancha were summoned to the scene and Judge Mancha pronounced the time of death.

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to Travis Street where City of Eagle Pass Police officers had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. Julio Cesar Chavez was confirmed to have an active warrant on child support charges. He was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-County units were dispatched to FM 131, where Border Patrol agents had detained a 2015 Nissan Versa involved in a hit and run accident in Kinney County. Deputies at the scene took Lucillo Smith and Neil Namapee into custody on public intoxication charges.

Wanted Person-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry #1 after CBP agents detained a male subject when a background check revealed an active warrant. Michael Anthony Mallen was arrested after a warrant out Zavala County on burglary charges was confirmed. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling Veteran's Blvd. this afternoon conducted a traffic stop on a 2011 red Chevrolet Camaro for a minor infraction. Contact was made with Juan Antonio Molina, the driver of the vehicle, who displayed a slurred speech and some type of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. Mr. Molina placed under arrest and  transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Terroristic Threats/Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Becker Street, where a female complainant had reported her son had been aggressive towards her prior to him fleeing the area on foot. A second complainant also stated he had been threatened by the male subject. Deputies were able to make contact with the subject identified as Juan Gabriel Aguilar several blocks away from the scene. Mr. Aguilar wad found in an intoxicated state, displaying bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, unstable balance, and an alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was placed under arrested and cited for public intoxication.

Information Report-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 East shortly before 8:30 PM this evening in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers observed a tan Chevrolet Tahoe laying on its roof next to the roadway and a male subject laying unconscious near the vehicle. EMS crews arrived at the scene and determined the male subject had passed away. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the location and has since taken over the investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units were dispatched to US Highway 277 North and Thompson Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, deputies observed a 2004 blue Ford Escape with damages sustained to its front end. The driver of the vehicle stated she was driving southbound on US Highway 277 when a deer ran onto the roadway, causing her to strike the deer. The passenger refused medical attention at the time of the report.
