Maverick County Sheriff's Office-August 28, 2015

DWI-At approximately 2:05 AM this morning, deputies conducting a traffic stop on a 2007 grey Cheverolet Cobalt operating with defective equipment on Memo Robinson Road. The traffic stop revealed that the driver, Alejandra Carolina Ortega, was intoxicated. Ms. Ortega was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence, Assault-Deputies responding to a family violence call on the 600 block of Wagon Wheel Road spoke with a female complainant who stated that her husband, identified as Jose Carlos Herrera, became irate and began to break the front door to their residence. The complainant further advised that her husband had turned off the breakers to the residence, leaving her and her children without electricity. Mr. Herrera was placed under arrest and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A deputy as dispatched to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on FM 2644 in reference to a possible intoxicated person. Upon arrival, contact was made with patrol agents who stated a male driver, identified as Juan Del Villar Sanchez, had signs of intoxication while driving his vehicle. Contact was then made with Mr. Sanchez, who had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Deputies were dispatched to Chula Vista Road, whereupon arrival, made contact with a male subject identified as Ramon Suke Flores. Mr. Flores displayed a slurred speech and had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry #1, where a male subject attempting to enter the United States was found to have marijuana in his possession. Sergio Arturo Cabrera Mireles was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
